Apalachicola State Bank - Coastal Community Bank sincerely appreciates all of the help and support shown by our friends and neighbors in Apalachicola following the fire on November 15, 2008. We want you to know that though we may be in a different location for a while, we continue to be your hometown bank and our services are continuing without interruption. Please visit us at our temporary location at 183 Avenue E. We will soon be up and running in our modular bank building across the street from our old location.

FDIC Transaction Account Guarantee Program - Coastal Community Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2013, all non interest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.

Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 - On October 3, 2008, President George W. Bush signed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, which temporarily raises the basic limit on federal deposit insurance coverage from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor. The temporary increase in deposit insurance coverage became effective immediately upon the President's signature. The legislation provides that the basic deposit insurance limit will return to $100,000 on December 31, 2013.
