FRAUD ALERT! - Coastal Community Bank has been made aware of some of our customers receiving text messages asking them to call an 866 number and verify some debit card transactions. It indicates that they need to speak to the fraud department. This is a scam. Please do not respond. Coastal Community Bank does not send text messages to our customers. FDIC Transaction Account Guarantee Program - Coastal Community Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through June 30, 2010, all non interest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules. Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 - On October 3, 2008, President George W. Bush signed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, which temporarily raises the basic limit on federal deposit insurance coverage from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor. The temporary increase in deposit insurance coverage became effective immediately upon the President's signature. The legislation provides that the basic deposit insurance limit will return to $100,000 on December 31, 2013. Lost or Stolen Debit Card? If your debit card is lost or stolen after normal business hours or on the weekend, please call our Hot Card number immediately - 1-800-554-8969. If during normal business hours, please contact your local branch.
